Happy family

Reagan kept saying "that baby's so cute!" "Reagan want to hold the baby!"
She's very interested in him so far, just needs to learn to be gentle.

Skyler James Petersen

Skyler James Petersen was born at 9:22 pm on Sunday June 22nd. He weighed in at a whopping 8 lbs 4 oz and was 19 inches long. He resembles his older sister Reagan when she was a newborn. He is doing well so far and is very sleepy most all of the time. Here are some pictures...

No baby yet

Greg has been home a week and it's been great! I haven't had my baby yet but I suppose it will be sometime this week. Mostly a ton of braxton-hickes, nothing more. I'm not too anxious as I'm still pretty comfortable and Greg, Reagan, and I can spend a little time together before the baby comes and our lives are chaotic.

Nesting

My question is why doesn't the nesting instinct happen during the second trimester instead of the third. I am wanting to get so much done and am SO tired that I can't do even half of it. I wish I had the nesting going on when I wasn't so big or tired. I seriously was wiped out by 7:30 pm tonight. I mean wiped out!

TV time

I was reading a friend's blog about a family that only let's their children watch one hour of tv a day. I decided that Reagan has been watching way to much tv lately. We were at Grandma's house the other day and all she talked about was her different shows...Dora, Wonder Pets, Elmo, Wiggles, Winnie the Pooh etc. etc. It's not like we just sit home and watch tv all day but it's on while I exercise, shower, in the evenings, etc. When you add it all up she watches quite a bit more than an hour a day. So the last 3 days she has watched only a total of 2 hours of tv. She has been a much happier girl and well behaved. I think tv actually makes her cranky. The more she watches the more she wants to watch and the more cranky she gets. It's kind of ironic because I use tv to get her to be good but it kind of backfires. Anyway, I am proud of myself for being tough even though she's asked for her "show" plenty of times.

Big one

Tonight I was putting Reagan to bed and I said "good night little one" she said back to me "good night, big one." It was pretty funny. She told me a few times in the last few days "mama has big tummy, Reagan has little tummy." She also asked me "did the baby come out yet?" I thought that was clever. She is starting to get it...maybe.

South Carolina

Here are some pics from our trip to visit Greg in South Carolina. We had a great time...only 9 days until Greg comes home!
